Has it really been 30 years?

Believe it or not, it has. Craved by locals since 1977, Rocky’s Sub Pub is the blood, sweat and tears of its founder, John Fondrisi. As a Bronx native and grandson of Italian immigrants, John knew a little something about good Italian American cuisine. And eventually, he brought his family tradition and talent to Kentucky.

On the day Elvis died (we’re not kidding), John opened the doors to the 40-seat Rocky’s in what was Duffy’s hamburger stand on Market Street in Jeffersonville, IN. Once the locals got a taste of his recipes, the rest, they say, is history.

The current Jeffersonville location, which opened to the anticipating public in 2000, was part of the revitalization of the riverfront district.
